The Body CD

Music has been a major passion in my life ever since I can remember.

When I was younger, I used to hide in my room alone, or outside where no one could hear me, and sing whatever words I knew to a popular song. I can remember experiencing a feeling that was like no other…that only happened when I was doing something musical.

As I got older, I began to take music more seriously. First it was guitar lessons, then the trumpet. I played in various bands at school, and in the praise and worship band at Fluvanna Baptist Church. It was at this same church that I met a group of young guys similar to myself. They had also grown up with music, and they used their talents to form a band that is now called Freedom Drive. I was able to learn a lot from them…musically, and spiritually.

Over the years, they taught me how to be creative with music, and instead of following strict musical structures and rules, think outside the box and produce original styles that stem from my own musical intuition. I started to write my own music and lyrics, but I reasoned that since God had blessed me with talent, I should give back to God by writing music that glorifies Him, rather than myself.
